From our imported litter by Promo (Germany) and out of our Tesla, Cyrus is a fan favorite gentleman here at our farm.

Cyrus is built like a small tank - low to the ground and wide with surprisingly fluid movement for his heft. He is 100% a therapy dog candidate, and we will pursue that as he matures. This means that he is on the lower end of the energy and drive scale. He loves our hikes in the forest and will always hang around us humans while watching the others leaping through the trees. He is the kind of dog who loves snuggling on the couch or bed on cold and rainy days.

When polling all of the visitors who came to hike with us in 2025 they all had one word in common that they would describe him with - Goofy! He is known for being sweet, gentle, and approachable but still with that German Shepherd presence. He was born an old soul.

Cyrus went to the 2025 USA Sieger Show, which is the only annual show in the USA where "World Champion" titles can be given to older dogs. He behaved himself wonderfully, though the judge noted that he would have moved up a few places had he not been a "fat house dog". He shows great potential, but our focus will be more on therapy visits with this guy.

PEDIGREE

Cyrus vom Seelenvoll is a son of V Promo v. Osterberger-Land and V Tesla v.d. Mauritshoek. He is the grandson of some amazing dogs that include VA Cyrus vom Osterberger-Land, VA Groovy di Casa Massarelli  , VA ASAP v. Aldamar , VA Fight v. Holtkamper Hof, VA Goran vom Bierstadter Hof, VA Remo vom Fichtenschlag and many more!

As with all of our dogs, you can follow his pedigree all the way back to 1801, which includes the males that were used to solidify the breed - Horand von Grafrath & ​Beowulf Sonnenberg.

HEALTH

​

Cyrus has passed every health test that he has taken!

 

His PennHip scores are RDI: 0.4 and LDI: 0.4, which puts him above average for the breed. His sister also had exceptional hip xrays, which speaks to the consistency of this bloodline.

 

His elbows were also xrayed and graded as "Normal" by OFA, which is the best result that they give. 

​

While he is clear by parentage for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), he is also tested as Clear for DM and 273 other genetic diseases through his Embark Panel. This includes Hemophilia (Blood Disorder) and MDR1 (Multi-Drug Resistance). This means that even if bred with a dog who is Affected/At Risk for any of these diseases and disorders she cannot produce them in her puppies.

Cyrus's heart has been cleared by a canine cardiologist and his clearance can be found in the OFA database. His eyes were also evaluated by a canine Ophthalmologist and found to be clear as well through OFA(Orthopedic Foundation for Animals).
