Gwen is a medium-sized female with stunning expression and color. She is very correct in her body structure with deep pigmentation and a darker face and black points. While growing up she reminded me so much of her amazing grandmother Anacapri, and still makes me do a double glance/check!

She has such a fun "all-in" personality. While she is warm and sweet with other people, you know the moment you have been accepted into her close group of "people". She will then be very affectionate and goofy, despite the stoic expressions that she carries. She is very much a September Virgo ( like her person Katie)!

​

Her full name, "Gwenchana" is the romanized version of 괜찮아 which is Korean for " It's okay / no worries! ". She is aptly named, as this girl has no worries, and tackles life with happiness and confidence.

PEDIGREE

 

      Gwen is the result of combining some of our favorite bloodlines. She is a daughter of our Asia vom Seelenvoll and Yukon team Casa Ortiz. This combines VA Fight vom Holtkämper Hof, granddaughter of VA1 Omen v. Radhaus, VA1 Yoker v. Leithawald, 2x VA1 Remo v. Fichtenschlag, 2x VA1 Vegas du Haut Mansard, 3x VA Peik vom Holtkämper Hof, and 2x VA Arex v. d. Wilhelmswarte.​

HEALTH

Gwen is a third generation girl of Seelenvoll, and her health clearances reflect this!

 

Her PennHip scores are RDI: 0.18 and LDI: 0.35, which puts her in the top percentile of tested dogs in the breed. With the average being 0.42, that is pretty amazing!

 

Her elbows were also xrayed and graded as "Normal" by OFA, which is the best result.

While she is clear for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), she is also tested as Clear for DM and 255 other genetic diseases through her Embark Panel. This includes Hemophilia (Blood Disorder) and MDR1 (Multi-Drug Resistance). This means that even if bred with a dog who is Affected/At Risk for any of these diseases and disorders she cannot produce them in her puppies.

Gwen's heart has been cleared by a canine cardiologist and her clearance can be found in the OFA database. Her eyes were also evaluated by a canine Ophthalmologist and found to be clear as well through OFA(Orthopedic Foundation for Animals).
